This is the second time we have been here. Our most recent experience here (06/30/2018) was okay. First impression is that there is a lot of underutilized space as soon as you get through the gate. The bathrooms were dirty even though we arrived as soon as the park opened. There were leaky pipes and puddles in the women's bathroom. I would say the biggest downside of all was the lack of adequate shade. Even though we were there early, we had a hard time finding a place that would provide shade throughout our visit. The lounge areas could use more shade. The lazy river was so much colder than the rest of the water at the park. We expected it to be cold after last year. However, we were hopeful that it would be warmer, but it was not. Finally, we are vegan, and as I looked at the cafe menu, there seemed to be NO VEGAN OPTIONS. The only upside in this case is that you can bring your own food and drinks. They claim to serve Dippin' Dots (which offers vegan flavors), but I did not see where it was offered nor did I see anyone with the product.
In summation, the park is okay, but has areas for improvement. The bathrooms were dirty and in need of repairs. There needs to be more shade for lounging. The lazy river is still too cold to really enjoy. They need to offer more and better vegan options. However, you can bring your own food. Additionally, there is a small discount on admission for being an Indiana resident (I believe it was a $3 discount). I do not believe we will be returning next year.
