The Elwood Glass Festival – located in Elwood, Indiana – is the pride of the community and one of the leading festivals in Central Indiana. The festival has been Elwood’s largest annual since 1971 and is a tribute to the unique, beautifully crafted hand-blown art-glass produced throughout the Elwood community since the earliest days of the Indiana Gas Boom, more than 100 years ago.
The Festival is organized by the Elwood Chamber of Commerce with sponsorships from local businesses and help from countless volunteers from the community. It is held annually, the third weekend of August, Friday through Sunday.
The Glass Festival includes a parade, carnival rides, arts and crafts, food, collectibles, bus tours, demonstrations, and fun contests.
