The setting was great for our family pictures. The decorations are beautiful and my son from San Diego loved the warmth this time of year. To be honest the only reason I can’t give this place 5 stars is because they incinerate all the beautiful butterflies they bring to the conservatory to get money. The butterflies come from all areas of the world and can carry diseases, our country can’t take any chance spreading the different germs. They have to incinerate them. To me, there has to be another way to get money and save the butterflies.

Great way to visit a jungle and a desert without leaving the city. Indoors. Worth the time and price of admission if you enjoy nature. Kid friendly.

Very reasonable entry fee AND they'll validate your parking ticket for the nearby parking garage so you don't have to pay for parking. Fun (and educational) interactive displays for the kids, lots of bends and turns in the gardens so you don't feel that you're just in a big room. Outdoor gardens to explore on nice days.

We purchase a yearly membership because of all different benefits. We took several grandkids down for the Fairy Tales exhibit which was done pretty good. Several different tales come to life and costumes for kids for each. Next up is a butterfly exhibit and plant sale Mothers Day weekend. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

The new exhibits are always exciting. We especially love the butterflies. Watching the process of hatching is pretty cool. It isn't expensive and fun for the whole family.
