Good museum, including pleasant gardens and interesting events. Very nice slice of European and American paintings. The big Bougeureau, Memories of Spring, is worth the visit, itself. And the chance to get a close look at a Rembrandt. One can make a fine portrait study in those galleries, and learn a lot about movements in American art. They have many very interesting examples of particularly American versions of historical art periods. A room full of pointillism provides a good education on the subject.

Amazing! Such an overwhelming experience, great staff and great atmosphere. Amazing pricing. Tons to do, I was really shocked as we took our 3 year old. He stayed in his stroller the whole time. We had no problems with that. Please visit! You wont regret it if you love art!

I can't wait to go back!! They had discounted prices on their June memberships and I got it right away! So pretty and relaxing. Then there is are the gardens and the 100 acres (which you don't have to be a member to walk the trails, but still). Like I said I can't wait to go back 😁

I've been to New York City and quite a few city museums.. while NYC and Boston are top tier for me, this museum did not dissapoint! I loved the traveling exhibitions and the opportunity to explore the sculpture garden (with the funky bones skeleton sculpture!) And the path surrounding the lake was a fabulous treat! We weren't able to go around it the whole way because of some erosion issues but we spent from 11am-5pm here and had a delicious lunch in their cafe as well as enjoying the student art show. I appreciated the variety and depth of the works, both permanent collection and traveling exhibits. I will be back!

This museum was wonderful. I came here with my girlfriend on a whim and was thoroughly impressed by the amount of work they had and how good the exhibits were. They had an excellent combination of paintings and physical exhibits. I enjoyed seeing the variety of famous artists and new exhibits on contemporary design as well as fantastic sculpture pieces and whatnot. The staff were very friendly and had great insight and recommendations for what to check out based on what we found interesting. I went in the middle of January so I was only able to explore the inside, so I can't wait to go back this summer to see what new pieces they've added and explore the art gardens and the sprawling grounds around their beautiful lake. I highly recommend a visit and it is well worth the admission of $18.
