Blacklist is a truly one of a kind shop in northern Lawrenceburg, Indiana where a group of “ragtag” misfits and rogues with their own ideas, edges, and colorful personalities bring together their unique style to create and sell some awesome skateboards and apparel. The store opened in 2004 and has been a go to for all skateboarders in the area for over 14 years. Brands include the original Blacklist, Adidas, Hella Cool and Hotel Blue.
Sun Valley Sports is located within the Castleton Mall off 86th street near downtown Indianapolis, and they’re the leading store for all your snow, pavement or water board needs. Sun Valley offers a knowledgeable staff, a variety of skate tools, wax, bushings and bearings. You name it, they got it! No matter your skill level, there is something for everyone here at Sun Valley Sports.
Who doesn’t know of Vans? Vans Pro Skate is the most popular brand for pros and beginners alike in the skateboarding industry and have been around since the mid 1960s. They have a huge inventory of gear and accessories for men, women and children. What makes their shops different is that they’re also green sole operators. Everything is green and made to be sustainable, from the packaging to the cotton to the leather.
Zumiez got its start in 1978 in Seattle and have now expanded to over a hundred stores through the U.S., including one in northern Fort Wayne, Indiana. What makes Zumiez stand out from other companies is their code of conduct, including forced labor and non-discrimination. They also have the largest selection of supplies and gear, including footwear, clothing, and DVDs. They also have their very own Zumiez Foundation in which they donate warm cold weather clothing to those in need and inspire and encourage their employees to give back to their communities.

“Where fashion and water sports meet” is the slogan of the Lake House. They’re also a premier skate shop and custom longboard maker. Their brands include the infamous and hard to find Roxy brand, Billabong, the North Face and Globe. The first stop on your visit should be the Board Wall, where all boards are available for viewing. Boards come in all shapes, sizes, and colors to fit your personal style.
If you haven’t seen the Nomad Skate Trucks, you definitely need to come in and visit their one of a kind shop in Indianapolis! They have Indy’s largest selection of decks, as well as shoes, clothing and all your other skateboarding needs, including wheels and hardware. They also have a sweet indoor mini skate park as well for those who are just beginning their skateboarding journey.
Located in southern Evansville, Indiana is the Killer Skate Park and Shop, where the idea that skateboarding should be inclusive rules supreme. The shop/park is a safe haven for those who feel forgotten or overlooked, freaks, geeks and anyone else who rides a board. The shop has been skater owned and operated since 2009, and is committed to giving their customers the best selection of boards and other skate related gear at extremely affordable prices. If you’ve never been on a board before or want to build on your skills, they also offer group classes or private classes, and a skateboard camp during the summer.
